    Your Opportunity

    We are searching for an Employee Relations Manager with a passion for working with diverse groups of people and a knack for solving problems.

    You will primarily focus on the employee relations side of HR. With visibility into the full range of HR operations and hands-on in many business functions, experience our successful, growing technology company. Most importantly, you will focus on providing a fair and consistent employee experience throughout our organization, while balancing our Relics' individual needs with New Relic’s philosophy, principles, and available resources.

    Our new Employee Relations Manager will report to a business unit HR Business Partner (HRBP) and partner with teammates in remote locations.

    What You’ll Do

    • Act as the initial point of contact for employee relations and advance high-risk and complex issues to the HRBP as necessary.
    • Address root causes of performance management in a consultative manner, educating employees and managers at each touch point, proactively identifying solutions that align with our policies and culture.
    • Investigate and navigate complicated issues efficiently to ensure consistent and fair practices.
    • Guide managers in the consistent application of HR policies.
    • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management, as well as play the role of coach, mediator, and connector between employees and management.
    • Assist HRBPs with planning and roll-out of HR key programs
    • Support HRBPs and business leaders in the retention of key talent, and the development of leadership capabilities across the organization.
    • Build collaborative and trusted cross-functional relationships with key internal service functions, including Finance, HR Operations, IT, Legal, and Talent Acquisition.

    Your Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience;
    • 5+ years of dynamically increasing experience in Employee Relations;
    • In-depth knowledge and application of legal requirements related management of employees;
    • High level of skill in handling sensitive and confidential situations/information with the demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and remain calm under pressure;
    • Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills while working in a geographically dispersed, matrix environment;
    • Strong HR data-related analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent multi-tasking skills.


    • PHR certification
    • Ability to navigate a fast-paced and ever-evolving work environment, with the accompanying responsibilities;
    • Demonstrated dedication to continuous improvement coupled with a learning mindset.
