Resources & tips for working from home: how to meet & keep in touch with new people, maintaining productivity, and even dealing with pets & kids during conference calls, etc.

Who has never worked from home before?  I'd be curious to hear how you're adjusting.

A couple of tips for working from home:

    1. Maintain a routine.  Wake up, brush your teeth, shower, make breakfast, get some exercise (walk around the block or something similar).
    2. Take breaks.  It's so easy to never leave your workstation when you're at home.  Take a mental break to get away.
    3. Don't forget to have lunch!  This would also be a great time for another walk.
    4. Lastly, end your day.  Just because you're working at home doesn't mean you should work until 11 pm.

    What tips am I missing?

I've been using the Insight Timer app to meditate for 10 mins in the morning before I sit down at my desk to work and it's been very helpful for de-stressing and centering myself before getting started for the day.

I would also recommend opening all of your blinds and windows if you can. Just because you shouldn't be outside doesn't mean you don't need the sunlight and fresh air!

One of my coworkers also shared this hourly workout suggestion to get out a bit of energy each our. See attached.

What have you been doing to keep yourself sane while trapped at home?

As this pandemic drags on, I'm slowly getting more adjusted to working from home. I've figured out a morning routine that works for me and I've been meditating for 10 minutes before I sit down at my desk. I have been drinking a ton of tea to keep me going and I may run out of honey soon. I did not realize how much honey I use when I'm not drinking tea in the office. May have to switch to sugar in my tea soon. How are y'all faring?

After nearly a month of telecommuting, I'm finally adjusting a bit. As literally every blog post said, it's so important to have a routine. I need that simple routine of a day even if it's just getting up and going to bed at the same time each day. It makes things seem a lot more in my control, which they aren't, but it makes me feel better. :D

    How is everyone else doing?
